Privacy & Security

Effective Date: June 3, 2026

This page summarizes how Compounding Finder protects personal and health-related information. It is intended as a plain-language overview; our Privacy Policy and HIPAA Notice provide additional legal detail.

1. What We Handle

Compounding Finder helps patients, providers, clinics, hospitals, and veterinary teams compare quotes from licensed compounding pharmacies. Depending on the request, we may handle:

  • Contact information, such as name, email, and phone number.
  • Location information, such as ZIP code or shipping state.
  • Medication details, including form, strength, dosage, quantity, and other request notes.
  • Allergy information or prescription details you choose to provide.
  • Basic site usage, device, and security log information.

2. How Information Is Shared

We use submitted information to route quote requests, support the quote workflow, prevent misuse, troubleshoot issues, and comply with legal obligations.

Patient and practice contact information is not sold. It is shared with pharmacy partners only as needed to support the quote request and pharmacy follow-up workflow.

3. Health Information and HIPAA

Compounding Finder is not a pharmacy, healthcare provider, health plan, or healthcare clearinghouse. When we create, receive, maintain, or transmit protected health information on behalf of a pharmacy partner, we operate as a Business Associate under the applicable Business Associate Agreement.

For more detail about that role, including safeguards, subcontractors, breach notification, and individual rights, review our HIPAA Notice.

4. Safeguards

We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information handled through the service. These safeguards include:

  • Access controls for systems that handle sensitive information.
  • Encrypted transmission over public networks.
  • Audit logging and monitoring for operational systems.
  • Workforce policies for handling sensitive information.
  • Vendor agreements for services that handle protected health information.

5. Sending Prescriptions and Sensitive Files

Please do not send prescriptions or other sensitive medical files by ordinary email. When a prescription image or document is needed for quote verification, use the upload flow provided with the request form or another secure process we specifically provide.

6. Data Requests

You may ask us to review, correct, or delete personal information associated with your request. Some records may need to be retained for legal, security, business, or pharmacy workflow reasons.

HIPAA rights involving protected health information are typically exercised through the covered entity that maintains the designated record set, usually the pharmacy or prescriber. When appropriate, we coordinate with the relevant covered entity.

7. No Badge or Certification Claim

This page is not a certification, seal, or guarantee that any system is risk-free. References to HIPAA describe our role, safeguards, and agreements for applicable workflows, not a government-issued compliance badge.
