What this tells you, and what it does not
The answer comes from the same routing that runs when a patient submits a real request. It accounts for which states a pharmacy ships to, whether they compound sterile preparations, dosage forms they have opted out of, and controlled-substance restrictions.
“Available” means pharmacies in our network would receive your request. It is not a promise that any particular pharmacy stocks the ingredient, will accept the prescription, or will quote a price you like. Pharmacies confirm what they can make when they respond.
You do not need a prescription to check, or to request quotes. You will need one to actually fill a compounded prescription — that is the law, and any site offering to ship compounded medication without one is not a legitimate U.S. pharmacy.
Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved. FDA does not review a compounded preparation for safety, effectiveness, or quality before it is dispensed. Whether one is appropriate for you is a decision for your prescriber and your pharmacist.
