For prescribers

Reach patients who need a prescriber for a compounded medication

Patients come to Compounding Finder to compare compounding pharmacy prices, and some do not have a prescriber yet. They see the verified prescribers licensed in their state who review the medication they need, and can ask one for a visit.

Your listing, next to their pharmacy quotes

Your card sits beside the pharmacy quotes they are comparing, with how you see patients, your visit fee and a short note from you. They tap Request a visit to ask you.

  • Nothing about a patient reaches you until they ask. Then they agree, in one sentence, to send you their name, email, phone, state and ZIP code, and the medications they asked about.
  • Patients pay you directly for the visit.
How it works

From sign-up to your first request

1

Create your account

Sign in with your practice email and add your prescriber profile. We check your NPI against the CMS registry.

2

Choose your states and medications

List each state you are licensed in, how you see patients, your visit fee and the medications you review.

3

We check your licenses

We verify each license with its state board before patients in that state see you, usually within one business day.

4

Patients ask you for a visit

We email you when one does, and their details are waiting on your dashboard.

Something else?

Tick other non-controlled medications, case by case, and patients whose medication is not on these lists can find you too. Your card tells them you review it case by case.

Not included

Controlled substances, compounded GLP-1s and pet medications. Patients who ask for those are not shown prescribers.

Who can list

MDs, DOs, nurse practitioners and physician assistants

You need an active license in every state you list, and your license, plus any collaborating or supervising physician your state requires, has to cover each medication you tick.

What you agree to

  • Contact each patient who asks you for a visit within 2 business days, even if only to say you cannot help.
  • Decide for yourself whether a prescription is appropriate. Patients are told no prescription is guaranteed.
  • Use a patient's details only to arrange and provide their care, and never sell or share them.
  • Send the prescription to the pharmacy the patient chose through Compounding Finder, unless that is not clinically appropriate.

Free during the launch period

There is no fee to be listed or to receive requests while we launch this. We will give at least 30 days' notice before any fee applies, and you can pause your listing at any time.

Questions prescribers ask

Anything else? Email contact@compoundingfinder.com.

Do I have to prescribe?

No. You decide after reviewing each patient. If you cannot help, mark the request "Can't help" on your dashboard and we let the patient know, so they can ask another prescriber.

Where does the prescription go?

To the pharmacy the patient chooses on Compounding Finder, and they will tell you which one. Send it the way you normally do, or use our free e-prescribing for non-controlled compounded medications.

How many requests will I get?

It depends on the states you are licensed in and the medications you review. Men's health medications, low-dose naltrexone and nutrient therapies are what patients without a prescriber ask about most, and a telehealth practice licensed in several states is visible to the most patients.

What do patients pay Compounding Finder?

Nothing. Patients use Compounding Finder for free. They pay you for the visit and the pharmacy for the medication.

Can I change or pause my listing?

Yes, at any time from your dashboard, including adding states and medications or turning your listing off.
