Progestogen / Sex Hormone Drug Class

Progestogens — primarily progesterone — prepare the uterine lining for pregnancy, balance estrogen, and support mood, sleep, and neurological health. Bioidentical progesterone is structurally identical to the progesterone the body produces naturally.

How It Works

Progesterone binds to progesterone receptors and GABA-A receptors in the brain. It balances estrogen stimulation of the uterine lining, supports sleep through its conversion to allopregnanolone, and has calming, anti-anxiety neurological effects.
